The latest design to gain the required 10,000 supporters at LEGO Ideas is inspired by the ship and crew from the blockbuster movie Interstellar!
From the talented mind of Minibrick41587, comes a brick-built recreation of the Ranger spacecraft, along with the crew as Minifigures and the two robots accompanying them. The build captures the shape of the vessel perfectly, the windows look great and the black accents are awesome. If you are unfamiliar with the story, it follows the farmer and ex-NASA pilot, Joseph Cooper, on a future Earth that has become uninhabitable. Cooper is tasked to pilot a spacecraft, along with a team of researchers, to find a new planet for humans. The blockbuster by Christopher Nolan, is one of the greatest sci-fi films ever, it uses actual scientific research and has even contributed a lot to our modern understanding of Space.
The idea looks great and one many fans would love to get their hands on, I know I would. This meticulously designed LEGO Ideas set brings the adventure of space exploration to life, it features a ton of cool elements, such as sloped building techniques, play features, and of course Minifigures;
- Minifigures of Cooper and Dr. Brand, along with robotic companions TARS and CASE.
- A detailed Ranger built with 561 pieces, packed with exciting features:
- Fully decorated interior with space to seat two minifigures alongside TARS or CASE.
- Removable roof for easy access to the interior details.
- Opening rear hatch.
- Essential accessories to help the crew explore both habitable and hostile worlds.
Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next/this year – we wish Minibrick41587 the best of luck in the next stage.
