The latest fan submitted design to make it into the LEGO Ideas Third 2025 Review Stage, which runs until 5th January 2026, turns an iconic computing system into a LEGO set!

The iMac G3 project was submitted by terauma and has made the required 10,000 supporters. It joins other submissions which make up the next Review Stage. Fans could see the idea come to life if the project is chosen by the powers that be. The 700 piece build features the iMac G3 that was first released in 1998 and was in production until 2003. It comes complete with a brick-built keyboard and USB mouse. I must admit that  not Mac person (I’m Windows) but I know the system and the iconic transparent blue/green shell and circular mouse.

Built with a total of about 700 parts.
made extensive use of the characteristic clear parts and built the building to be a little smaller than it actually is.
Inside, the cathode ray tube and board are reproduced, and a keyboard and USB mouse are also included.

Unfortunately reaching the goal doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish Terauma the best of luck in the next stage.
