The latest design to make it through to the next LEGO Ideas review stage gives a modern day adult cartoon a brick-twist, Bob’s Burgers: Grand Re-opening could be a future LEGO Ideas set!
From the talented mind of Greygo, comes a bright and colourful modular-style building of Bob’s Burgers, including the family in Minifigure form. Thanks to its incredible following, the idea recently gained the required 10,000 supporters and earned its place in the next review stage, happening sometime this year.
The cartoon sitcoms premise is simple, it follows a third-generation restaurateur, Bob Belcher, who deals with various situations while running his dream restaurant with the help of his uptight wife and their three underachieving kids. It’s an incredibly funny and heartwarming (at times) show that has a distinctive style and an amazing voice cast.
This is my second attempt at a Bob’s Burgers build after my first project was not approved in review. Fingers crossed that we make it this time! – Greygo
Greygo has done a wonderful job in capturing the essence of the characters and the building itself, with its bright green & yellow exterior, red & yellow sign and big front window. As a play feature the sides and roof can be removed, opening up the interior for play and setting up scenes. I’m sure fans of the American cartoon sitcom would love to get their hands on this set if it were real. The Minifigures would be worth it alone!
Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish Greygo the best of luck in the next stage.
