The latest LEGO Ideas fan submitted design to make it to 10k supporters recreates the look and feel of a Japanese Onsen in Autumn!

The project was submitted by Brickcat-94 and is the most recent submission to hit the required 10,000 supporters mark. It joins other submissions which make up the next Review Stage. Fans could see the idea come to life if the project is chosen by the powers that be.

The build is based around a Japanese Onsen, if you don’t know what that is it’s a hot spring with bathing facilities around it, deeply rooted in the country’s culture and believed to offer health benefits. Visiting an onsen involves a specific etiquette, including thoroughly washing before entering the public baths, being completely naked, and not letting hair or towels touch the water.

Brickcat-94 has done a wonderful job in recreating the hot spring and the building around it, with its traditional architecture and the autumnal foliage surrounding it. It looks beautifully designed and it would definitely be on my wishlist if LEGO chose this one to become a real-life set.

Step into a peaceful corner of Japan at the height of autumn. Autumn Onsen captures the charm of traditional hot spring towns, surrounded by fiery red and golden leaves, and brings it to life brick by brick. This set is designed to immerse you in culture, detail, and story — all while inviting you to build your own serene retreat.

Unfortunately reaching the goal doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish Brickcat-94 the best of luck in the next stage.
