One of the latest designs to gain the required 10,000 supporters at LEGO Ideas is based on an IP that has seen many iterations but sadly not yet been chosen, Dumb & Dumber!

The design and build is by the talented IOU275K, it brings the funny and much loved characters Harry and Lloyd into the world of LEGO, along with their apartment block and iconic vehicle. If you are unfamiliar with the movie and it’s premise, it follow Lloyd and Harry who stumble upon a suitcase full of money left behind by Mary. Unaware that the money is connected to a kidnapping case, they try to return it only to be pursued by killers and the police.

I personally love this movie and have seen it many times, the news of this idea gaining the required 10,000 supporters and in the running to be an official set, brings a smile to my face. The project recreates the apartment block from the start of the movie and the duos apartment room filled with movie references and more. It comes complete with Minifigures versions of the dumb duo along with many sidebuilds and of course the Mutt Cutts van and Limousine, perfect for recreating scenes.

In honor of one of the most beloved comedies, which continues to make audiences everywhere laugh hysterically, this is LEGO Dumb and Dumber! – IOU275K

The exterior of the apartment block looks great, with many details including mismatch brickwork and balconies. It looks to be of a substantial size, almost covering two baseplates wide, so if this became a real purchasable set it would certainly cost a pretty penny, and take up some serious shelf space. Inside the apartment block are many rooms, again filled to the brim with movie references and easter eggs, Harry and Lloyd’s apartment especially.

The vehicles look exceptionally good, the Mutt Cutts van is spot in and works well in the 6 stud wise format. The Limousine is a nice addition too with its look black chassis. Combine these with the many Minifigures and IOU275K is into a winner.

Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next/this year – we wish IOU275K the best of luck in the next stage.
