Whilst perusing the LEGO Ideas platform, I came across something I hadn’t seen for many years, Gipsy Danger from Pacific Rim!
Inspired by the iconic Jaeger from Pacific Rim, the LEGO model by AnythingButyes brings Gipsy Danger to life in true brick fashion as the perfect display piece. The model features articulated joints for dynamic posing, a sturdy frame for balance, and advanced building techniques that capture the mechanical complexity of the giant robotic Kaiju hunter. LEGO Gipsy Danger comes fully equipped with a hand cannon and chain sword, just like in the movie, along with its most iconic feature—the powerful punching fist. An included display base provides added stability whilst enhancing the overall presentation, making it a striking centerpiece fans of Mechs and the Pacific Rim movies would like to get their hands on – I know I do.
For those that haven’t seen the movie, humankind and monstrous sea creatures are at war, a former pilot and a trainee are paired up to drive a seemingly obsolete special weapon in a desperate effort to save the world from the apocalypse. It’s a pure adrenaline rush to watch, with epic action scenes and of course massive human-piloted Mechs.

Standing at an impressive 15.5 inches (39–40 cm) tall, the model looks absolutely stunning. The dark blue colour scheme with hints of red and yellow work really well together, accompany that with the weapons, articulation points and awesomeness of it and AnythingButyes is onto a winner here. See for yourself in the photos below, who wouldn’t want this in their collection. A Minifigure or two would be a really nice addition, perhaps of the two pilots that operate Gipsy Danger? I really hope LEGO make this set, it would be top of my must have lost.
We would like to wish AnythingButyes the best of luck in promoting and gaining the required 10k supporters needed to get this product idea to the next stage. Please, if you like the idea, support it using the official link below.
