Build your very own Hail Mary from Project Hail Mary – the ship has been recreated in a much more affordable way thanks to SawyerBrickTime. Whilst perusing Rebrickable, the world’s largest marketplace for MOCs, Alternative Builds and more, I came across another awesome Project Hail Mary alternative build, this time focusing on the spacecraft itself!

The talented creator, SawyerBrickTime, has taken two LEGO 3-in-1 Space Shuttle (31134) sets and transformed them into something truly epic. The Hail Mary ship already has an official LEGO set, which will set you back £99.99, making it unaffordable for some fans of the hobby. But thanks to the talented SawyerBrickTime you can now build something similar for just £18.

This budget-friendly micro-scale Hail Mary alternative build uses parts from the two aforementioned sets, and nothing more, no spare pieces or extra bits are required. The model captures the ship’s distinctive cylindrical design while maintaining a sturdy, display-ready structure. The build includes multiple display options, featuring a functional centrifuge mode and Rocky’s Taumoeba-gathering basket for added storytelling and playability.

It also comes with a custom display base, complete with micro-scale figures of Ryland Grace and Rocky, serving as a tribute to one of sci-fi’s most unforgettable partnerships. Compact in size but massive in presence, this version of the Hail Mary transforms two versatile LEGO Creator sets into a cinematic centerpiece that feels like it just drifted in from deep space and landed on your shelf.

The designer has done an incredible job with the build and would be on most fans list to add to their collections. If the images are anything to go by it’ll be a blast to put together. SawyerBrickTime has produced a high quality design that will sit an any shelf with ease and not look out of place at all.

To build your own, visit Rebrickable and purchase the instructions for just $2, it’s a steal when you think just how much work went into the build itself and the production of the instruction manual. You’ll need to have the the original. Check out the images below and share your thoughts in the comments section. Please support the creator by purchasing the instructions via Rebrickable.
