In a brand new feature, we showcase the wonderful MOCs (my own creation) found in the wild. Highlighting fans builds so others can admire, inspire and get creative!

To kick us off we recently stumbled upon a build that takes the parts and initial concept of an official LEGO set, but gives it a book nook twist. Joonybrick has transformed the LEGO Tudor Corner (10350) modular building into something usable for book lovers and LEGO fans alike. Using parts from the larger set and a few spares, you too can modify your Tudor Corner – it’s slightly smaller, a few roomsets have been moved around or removed due to space, and the whole opens up into a street-style scene just like its inspiration, the LEGO Sherlock Holmes Book Nook (10351).

It is alternate build of Lego 10350 Tudor Corner. All parts are from the original lego set 10350, but you need three spare parts which are also included in the original set. – Joonybrick

Comprised of 1,802 pieces, the modified build looks great and you can instantly tell where the idea came from. The LEGO Tudor Corner (10350) set originally has 3,266 pieces, just a few more than the MOC has, so you’ll have those leftover parts as spares, perfect for other projects. We love how Joonybrick has kept the main features and architectural styles of both buildings. Once closed the Book Nook looks cosy and welcoming – in my book this is a great use of the parts and the talent & skill needed to transform an already built set into something different is very impressive.

For those looking to recreate the build themselves, instructions are available now via Rebrickable.
